A Fish's Tale: part 1
The coffee machine whirred and the T.V. blurted out the news as Curt the fish swam around and around in his small fish tank. He would've yawned, but goldfish don't yawn. Curt was unexplainably bored. He'd been in his new home for just a week and he was bored to death. There was nothing to do except swim through a big rock with holes in it and watch bubbles coming out of a fake shipwreck. At first, Curt had been excited about his new home, and had watched the bubbles with much interest. But now Curt just wished the ship- and the rock- would be replaced by something new. Just then, Curt noticed something- Mallo the snake next to him had managed to push the top of his cage off and was climbing out! Curt started to panic. Mallo could easily slither over to his bowl, reach in and- BANG! Mallo had knocked over the pan that Curt's mistress used to keep his fish food in when she once accidentally spilled it. Curt begged for his owner to come running to find Mallo out of his cage. He swam around, frightened and begging for mercy. But she didn't come. Little did he know, she was at a baby shower at her friend's place. Mallo was leaning over Curt now, menacingly hissing, "Say hello to my stomach, fishy! TO BE CONTINUED....

No More Mice!
"Hurry hurry hurry! The cats are coming! The cats are coming! Oh get in, Fuzz. IN!" But Fuzz, the smallest mouse on Grunder St. was frozen with fear. His mind flashed back to all those times when Mustard's cat team had raided the barnyard. His mother had been eaten by Mustard's foul deputy-like cat, a skinny black cat whose name was Guck. And his father's left eye had been badly scratched by a hairy brown cat called Bore, thus making his left eye unable to see. There were other cats on Mustard's team too, all mean and hungry. Fuzz was angry and scared. And hungry too. With Mustard's team around, the mouse colony's food searchers went out less. Fuzz was too young to have a role in the mouse colony, and didn't know if he ever would. He had come from the pet store with his mom and dad just a couple of weeks ago and he was white with evil looking red eyes. Now watching Mustard's team running towards the barn, once more coming to kill and injure, Fuzz got angrier and angrier until he could bear it no more. He ran screaming at the cats in such a squealing and frightening tone that he startled himself. Fuzz quickly made a plan in his head, which mice have to do in order to survive. The cats screeched to a stop and hissed at the little figure. Mustard and Guck weaved around the other cats until they were up front. "What on Earth is going on?" roared Mustard. Guck answered him in a voice full of respect, "Sir, it's a small white mouse." Then he added with amusement, "Oh save us, somebody! A weird white mouse from the Moon is attacking us. Oh help!" Mustard chuckled. He answered, "Oh yes, we're goners for sure!" Then he turned serious and asked, "Okay, little mousie. You have one chance. Oh, and what kind of mouse are you? I've never seen a white one like you." he asked, getting curious. Fuzz mustered up all the courage he could get and said in a voice unlike his real one, "I am the ghost of Merry, a mouse you ate a week ago." Fuzz boomed, pointing at Guck. He saw Guck's hackles raise in fear. Fuzz continued, "Now you will have to pay. ALL of you." All the cats scattered, except Mustard, trying to look brave. But Fuzz could see him shaking a little and knew he was scared. Fuzz charged at Mustard full speed, hurtling curses at him. Mustard finely lost his courage. He ran, screeching, over the hill and away. Fuzz returned to the colony, a hero. And Mustard- and his team- were never seen again.
THE END
